Question 1

How much does a website cost?

Accepted Answer

Most business sites start from £2,000 or $2,650. E-commerce sites from £15,000 or $20,000 depending on complexity.

Question 2

What does a website build include?

Accepted Answer

Every build includes: 90+ core PageSpeed, branding where needed, site design with revisions, SEO content population including meta descriptions, keywords and llms.txt, technical consultation, SEO engine, image and video optimisation, Google Analytics and Search Console configuration, free SSL certification, contact form, responsive optimisation across desktop, tablet and mobile, cookie consent with consent storage, and FAQ schemas where needed.

Question 3

Do I pay upfront or in stages?

Accepted Answer

You pay half upfront as a deposit and half on completion.

Question 4

Are there ongoing payments after the build?

Accepted Answer

Monthly hosting payments are the norm but are minimal. Support packages are available — £10 or $13 a month for domain and hosting support including backups, or £50 or $65 a month which includes an optional hour's catch-up every 6 months and annual optimisations.

Question 5

Do you offer a support package?

Accepted Answer

Yes. £10 or $13 a month covers domain and hosting support including backups and handling technical issues. £50 or $65 a month adds an optional hour's meeting every 6 months for minor changes and annual optimisations to keep pace with Google's evolving metrics.

Question 6

What is PageSpeed and why does it matter?

Accepted Answer

PageSpeed is the most important metric for your Google ranking. It is near impossible to achieve with heavy, plugin-riddled websites such as WordPress, Squarespace, Wix or templated Shopify. It is the main reason small businesses fail to rank and why medium to large businesses lose ground to competitors. Hand-coded websites bypass this entirely and easily score 90+, which is our guarantee.

Question 7

What is the process from start to finish?

Accepted Answer

1. Enquiry — you send an enquiry and we research your business's online presence. 2. Chat — we get to know you, establish priorities, and take a deposit to begin design. 3. Design — we build your design in Figma and send you the link to review. 4. Design revision — colours, typography and layout are open for discussion. 5. Build — we start building and send changelogs throughout. 6. Demo — we demo the finished site and make any final revisions. 7. Complete — on final payment we transfer your domain, get you live, hook up analytics and submit your site to search engines.

Question 8

What happens if I want changes after the site is built?

Accepted Answer

Just get in touch — we are always happy to do tweaks and adjustments. Our £50 or $65 a month support package covers ongoing changes, an optional hour's catch-up every 6 months, and annual optimisations to keep pace with Google's evolving SEO metrics.

Question 9

Will my website show up on Google and AI search?

Accepted Answer

Yes. SEO does take time — Google typically takes 3 to 6 months to fully position a new domain. Bing, which powers many other search engines, is much faster. We are confident in our work and every site we build has strong technical SEO foundations from day one.

Question 10

How long will my website take to build?

Accepted Answer

Our shortest project took one week of non-stop work. If a client is willing to collaborate fully, the process can be very fast. We love doing this and it shows in our ethic, timeframe and standards.

Question 11

What size of project do you take on?

Accepted Answer

From small businesses to ecommerce platforms — we can do it all. Ecommerce is more costly because we do not take shortcuts. Headless is the way forwards and we truly build.

Question 12

Can you work with my existing branding?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely — if anything, it makes the project a little cheaper for you.

Question 13

Do you do just web design?

Accepted Answer

We have built bespoke systems before — just reach out, we are always interested in something new.

Question 14

What sets Code By Farah apart from an agency?

Accepted Answer

Agencies are all about profit. We are all about passion. At an agency your project is handed to the cheapest developer and analyst. They add non-competes into their terms, charge for features that should be free, trap you in their ecosystem and never hand your site over to you. We work differently — your site is yours, you have access to your code at all times, and we welcome competition. We have had a genuine career in web development in a competitive major ecommerce environment, where bespoke coding and SEO-forward design were drilled into us.

Question 15

What sets Code By Farah apart from other web designers?

Accepted Answer

Most developers can only develop. Most designers can only design. Most SEO experts can only do SEO. We do all three with comfort, ease and real passion. A lot of web designers wrestle with a template and overcharge you for the luxury. We go a step beyond — we build from scratch out of pure code, moulded to your business's needs, with clean understandable syntax and SEO-forward, forward-thinking design.

Question 16

I've been burned by an agency or designer — can you help me?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely — we are here to right their wrongs and get you out of this mess. We are happy to assess their terms and conditions and give you an action plan and a way out.

Question 17

What if I am currently trapped in an agency's ecosystem?

Accepted Answer

Get in touch and let us know the agency and your experience — we will scan over their terms and conditions to see how we can help you get out, paired with an action plan to move you over to us so you can stop the extortionate payouts and finally get a website worth every penny. We are considerate of what you have been through — and we reflect that in our pricing.

Question 18

What if it was a prior bad experience with an agency or designer?

Accepted Answer

Every new story both confirms what we already know and still manages to shock us at the gall of it. Feel free to let us know your experience — but ultimately we are here to show you how it is truly done and give you real relief. We are honest, passionate and here to help.
